Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

You know those days when you're really craving a soft and chewy subway cookie BUT you're too lazy to get off your butt and go and get one or you know that you're going to feel guilty eating it because it has so much sugar and butter in it? Well inspired by Joy Of Baking's Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe . I've modified this recipe to contain less sugar and butter but has the same great crispiness and chewiness that everyone loves.

Pasta Bake Recipe

This is probably the most easiest pasta bake recipes anyone can ever make. Seriously. Simply because the sauces are already pre made in a jar. I tell my friends how easy this recipe is to make but I'm the one that always ends up making it for them to eat.

Taylor's Butter Chicken Simmer Sauce Review & Recipe

Butter Chicken and Rice

So I was at Coles, and as I was looking at sauces I came across "Taylor's Butter Chicken Simmer Sauce" and since I was craving butter chicken, I decided to grab it and cook it for that nights dinner.

My Thoughts
I think it was an alright tasting sauce but it definitely wasn't butter chicken. The flavour and the colour of the sauce was all wrong. It costs $4.02 at Coles and $4.30 at Woolworths. To compensate for the lack of Indian spices and flavours I decided to add my own spices such as garam masala, cumin, paprika and coriander seeds. I also added some unconventional ingredients such as button mushrooms, carrots and zucchini.

Note : Roti, Naan or bread would also be nice with this.

HOT STAR LARGE FRIED CHICKEN

$8 a piece

I seriously don't know why I didn't try this earlier. I've walked passed the store so many times while I was at the city but there was always a line. We waited around 10-15 minutes to receive this mammoth sized piece of goodness dusted in chilli powder. 2 pieces enough to feed 3 people. When I tore a piece off, I saw a perfectly cooked piece oozing with juices. Obviously it was super moist and tender and the outside was perfectly seasoned and crunchy. I think it was worth the price but who knows.

UPDATE : There is one opening in Cabramatta HORAAH

Visit their website : http://hotstarchicken.com.au/

Tell me what you think about Hot Star Chicken. Is there anything else I should try off their menu?

Pajeon (Korean Green Onion Pancake) Recipe

I always salivate watching the characters in a drama eating delicious food. In particular Pajeon(Green Onion Pancake) they just make it look so good when they eat it. So I googled around and I came across eatyourkimchi's recipe http://www.eatyourkimchi.com/how-to-make-pajeon/ . This my my variation of their recipe but also check their one out.

What exactly is Pajeon?
It's a Korean savoury pancake with green onions of course. Eatyourkimchi states : (Pa) means green onion and 전 (Jeon) means anything dipped in a flour and water batter and then pan fried

In this recipe it says that it's best to use the asian thinner stalked chives for this particular recipe. But I ended up just using normal green onions.

Top Tips :

  • Make sure the pan isn't too hot otherwise your pancake will burn and If it's too low then the pancake will not get crispy
  • The Ratio of flour : Water is 1:1, if you'd like to change the serving sizes
  • Cooking times vary - how thick the pancake is
