Pasta Bake Recipe

This is probably the most easiest pasta bake recipes anyone can ever make. Seriously. Simply because the sauces are already pre made in a jar. I tell my friends how easy this recipe is to make but I'm the one that always ends up making it for them to eat.





Recipe :

Ingredients :
1. Dolmio Pasta Bake Sauce (Creamy Tomato and Mozzarella)
2. Dolmio Béchamel Sauce (Or homemade Béchamel : http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/mario-batali/bechamel-sauce-recipe.html
3. 1/2 Large Onion
4. 4 Cloves of Garlic crushed and diced 
5. 1 Diced Carrot 
6. 500grams Minced Beef 
7. Oregano - As much as you'd like I usually used about 1/2 a tablespoon

8. Grated Mozzarella Cheese 
9. 500g Penne Pasta
10. Optional : Chicken Powder 
11. Optional : Button Mushrooms (sliced)  

Utensils : 
  1. 2 Large Pot/Saucepan 
  2. Wooden Spoon 
  3. Colander 
  4. Baking Dish 
Note : Pasta should be cooked until Al Dente 
It is recommended not to use a cheese that is low fat as it doesn't melt and brown as nicely in the oven.

  • Garlic Bread 
  • Salad 
Cooking Instructions :
1. Preheat oven to 200-210degrees Fan Forced Oven 
2. Boil around 2 1/2 Litres of Water. Add 2 Tbsp of Salt and a Tsp of Oil. Add in Pasta and follow packet cooking instructions usually takes around 10-12 minutes. When straining run under cold water to stop the cooking process

3. In another Pot heat up oil and sauté onions, garlic and oregano until translucent. Add in Carrots and cook it for around 1 minute. 

4. Add Minced beef into the pot and cook until all browned then add mushrooms(this helps the mushrooms hold it's shape whilst cooking)
5. Pour in Jar of sauce, then fill up the Jar until 1/3 way with boiled/normal water and shake the Jar to gather remaining sauce and add it into the pot.
6. Add in a 2 Tbsp of Chicken Powder and Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer sauce for around 10 minutes or until reduced a little bit. Stirring every few minutes. Then add in a cup of Mozzarella Cheese
7. Add in strained pasta and stir to coat. 

8. Add into large baking dish and smooth out the pasta. Add Béchamel sauce on top and then coat with as much cheese and you please


9. Put into preheated oven and cook for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown
10. It is very hot to when you take it out of the oven let it cool down before serving.
